LUXURY + CURVES: HOW TO BUY LUXURY IN YOUR SIZE RANGE

As a frequent worshiper in the church of Fashion, I am literally obsessed with high fashion. The more drama – the better! But if you know me personally, you also know that I am on the lower end of the plus size scale and high fashion hasn’t been… how can I say it…? – welcoming of these curves.

So where is the safe space for those obsessed with Vogue and in love with every inch of their silhouette to go? I’m more than happy to show you the luxurious yellow brick road.

Last night, 11 Honoré , hosted their first show for NYFW. 11 Honoré is the first retailer of its kind to offer a selection of luxury and designer ready-to-wear from sizes 10 to 24.

The show, a culmination of multiple fashion designers that have won acclaim in smaller sizes and also create the same looks in larger sizes was a huge hit in the plus size world pushing a message of fashion inclusiveness for women of all sizes. (And isn’t that what we want? The SAME looks in our sizes?)

I appreciate the thoughtfulness that the site has towards women of all sizes and it has boasted some amazing looks that I couldn’t want to get my hands on. Below are some of my personal faves:

Sachin & Babi Nur Dress
Sachin & Babi Dua Coat
Adam Lippes Printed Poplin Tie-Waist Wide-Leg Culotte

As more brands finally realize that the cries from my sisters aren’t to shame them but to challenge them to design articles that make us ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ the same way AND fit our proportions, they will see that our tribe of curves will march loyally to express ourselves in their garments. Because isn’t self expression on both sides of the mission what this is all about?

Happy Shopping, Ladies! #styleservedhaute
